Description

Here's my entry for this -> fav.me/db9u1wp

Hoo boy, was I excited to find out about this! Really adore this species and I'm so glad that I get to keep this guy. Also feels nice to draw with my tablet again, and well... draw again. I really do like how Kidd turned out, though I definitely need to work on my designing skills. Not the most balanced design, but I like it, so who cares! I also shrunk down my watermark. Gonna only use the big one for certain things from now on and this one more often.

For some reason I thought of what gore art of Hoodbeasts would look like, since their insides are gaseous... I kinda want to draw that~

Edit: Bio is done! For now anyways, may edit some point in the future.

Name: Kidd
Gender: Androgynous
Age: Unsure, but spent the last 20 years with Boss and the gang.
Likes: Boss, the gang, fellow ruffians, graffiti, motorcycles, shiny things like chrome and gold, road trips, the energy people give off when experiencing an adrenaline rush.
Dislikes: Rude people, good graffiti getting painted over, being separated from Boss or alone in general.

Personality: Highly curios and easily gets absorbed in things that interest them. Loves drawing and will use any medium available when inspiration strikes, even draws on fellow gang members, whether they like it or not. Has a tendency to speak in singular and simple words when excited. Usually glued to Boss' side. For better or worse, Kidd, is an adrenaline junky, mostly due to Boss' influence.

History: It was sheer luck that Kidd met Boss. For some reason, Kidd had decided to take a different path to their forest home that day. They walked down an alley and when they came out the other end, they saw a beat up, old motorcycle drive into an abandoned building. Curiosity took over and they quietly followed after. What they found inside made their mouth drop open in wonder and they couldn't help but stare in amazement at the sight before them. While the outside of the building was dilapidated and grey, the interior was covered in a myriad of colors. One design in particular struck a cord inside them and they approached it. Spanning a good portion of one wall and overlapping with several other paintings, was an octopus. Each tentacle had a different design and color scheme and wrapped around, under, and through the other paintings beautifully. Unsure how long they were standing there, gawking at the graffiti, a presence made itself known. "Hey there kid. Like what you see?" Startled, they turned around and came eye to eyes with a young fellow. They had a loose grin on their face and their eyes shown with delight. Nodding, the Hoodbeast grinned widely at their question. "Like." They said simply and glanced back at the mural. A hand pats their head. "Thanks, took me a long time to make it." The small Hoodbeast looks up at that, their tail swishes in delight. "You make?" He chuckles and rubs his neck. "Mm!" Their tail is swaying back and forth now, the tips curling around themselves. "Teach!" They squeak, hopping slightly. The guy lets out a hearty laugh and pats their head again. "Sure kid!"

That's what started the twos relationship and soon, the small Hoodbeast came to be known as Kidd and the artist came to be called Boss by the little creature. A couple years went by during that time, a few other people had gathered inside the old building. Everyone came to call Kidd's companion Boss and while unwilling at first, he eventually gave in. They'd all become a close nit family who loved graffiti and motorcycles. However, one day the place everyone called home, was flagged by the city for being a potential hazard and was demolished soon after. It hurt Kidd and Boss to see their precious home destroyed like that, but it opened up a new door for them. They took to the road and the world became their home. The people who had gathered around them followed after and they eventually grew a reputation. The Graffiti Rouges were what they came to be known as as time went by. However, before that, shortly after their new journey began, Boss gave Kidd a present. He had been meaning to give it to Kidd for nearly two years already, but was uncertain if they would like it. After they lost their home though, he was hit with inspiration and altered the gift a little, and mustered up the courage to give it to Kidd. Honestly, Boss has never seen Kidd that happy since he took him under his wing. The gift was his old leather jacket, which he kept in impeccable condition, and sported a very vibrant and new design on the back of it. Without a moments hesitation, Kidd discarded the old garment they resided in and slipped inside the jacket. Moments later they stood there, admiring how the jacket fit on them so perfectly. "Happy!" Kidd slipped into their old speaking mannerism, expressing how delighted they were to receive such an amazing gift. For Kidd, it was like taking a piece of their original home with them wherever they went and honestly, their new life was perfect. Travelling wherever their hearts desired, leaving behind gorgeous graffiti and giving the world a bit more color.
